He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked at Dixie Cup for 42 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, guitar and tinkering. He was a member of the Methodist Church since 1948.
He married Lily Powell on Aug. 20, 1948, in Muldrow.
Survivors include his wife, Lily Shamblin; two daughters, Linda Williams and Liz Brown; one son, Jack Alan Shamblin; several grandchildren; 31 greatgrandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Diane; and one grandson.

Roland – Memorial services for Jack H. Shamblin, 96, of Roland, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Shamblin was born on May 12, 1927, in Roland to Daniel Wesley Shamblin and Ollie Mae (Moton) Shamblin. He died on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Roland.
