James Russell. She died on May 23, 2023 in Roland.
She was married to Wayne Brooks on Oct. 8, 1955, in Moffett. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2002.
She was a housewife and of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors are a daughter, Sandy Banning and Rick of Barling, Ark.; son, Michael Brooks and Karen of Redland; two grandchildren; nine step-greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Fern Shamblin of Sallisaw and Wilma Linker of Redland; one brother, Jim Russell of Redland; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Charles Russell.
Pallbearers were Rick Russell, Johnny Banning, Chris Banning, Terry Deese, James Barber and Dr. Gary Linker.
Muldrow – Funeral services for Cassie (Russell) Brooks, 88, of Muldrow, were at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023, at First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow.
Burial followed at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
