Muldrow – Funeral services for Rev. Lance D. Spiller, 88, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2023, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Muldrow. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Ark., under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
He was born on March 14, 1935, in Valley Mills, Texas, to Steve Spiller and Eula Fay (Long) Spiller. He died on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He was a Missionary Baptist Minister for over 52 years and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
He married Lola Walker on Oct. 17, 1952, in Gatesville, Texas. She preceded him in death on June 8, 2017.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Harlan of Vilonia, Ark. and Judy Huffman of Van Buren; two sons, Roy Spiller of Holland, Ark., and Larry Spiller of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Mildred Wetsel of Cardelle, Ga.; eight grandchildren; 31 greatgrandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Carroll Spiller; one sister, Geneva Rainey; and a grandchild.
Pallbearers were Calvary Missionary Baptist Church members.
