Scouts and leaders from Sallisaw Boy Scout Troop 731 avoided the bitter cold of Christmas week and enjoyed beautiful weather at Winter Camp at the Mabee Scout Reservation near Locust Grove last week. The boys participated in merit badge classes, campfires, hikes and other activities while at camp. Attending camp, on the back row from left are Assistant Scoutmaster Jason Blalock, Rowan Baker, Cale Stewart, Riley Walters, Isaiah Baker, Dawson Walters and Assistant Scoutmaster Jon Walters. On the front row, from left are Senior Patrol Leader Mason Blalock, Asher Orendorff, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Eric Patton, Jack Caughman, Jacob Robinette, Jadyn Poindexter, Joe Baker, Scoutmaster Keith Orendorff and Assistant Scoutmaster Tracy Robinette. The troop will attend Trappers’ Rendezvous January 13-15 at Harvey County Park West near Burrton, Kansas.
