Muldrow Police Chief George Lawson and Muldrow Town Manager Matthew Duke received a check for $11,000 from Cherokee Nation Tribal Council Reps. E.O. Smith (Dist. 5) and Daryl Legg (Dist. 6) last week to be used by the police department. Legg said the distribution was the largest amount to be provided to each law enforcement agency in all 14 counties within the jurisdiction of the Cherokee Nation.
